Nokshi Katha or Nakshi Kantha is a vintage art from rural Bengal / Bangladeshi. It's an Indian Ethnic handmade folk art done by women which involes applique embroidery of Crotchet threads, chain stitch & crewelwork on fabrics with thick cotton base.

I had used this rural applique technique in creating Unique Wall hanging Decoratives. This one is a Nature inspired wall art displaying Wild Forest Animals motifs in Jungle / Forest theme in a rectangular poster sized fabric tapestry. Our Each tapestry is hand embroidered on Tusser silk cloth by rural natives of Bengal and takes couple of days to produce one perfect art piece. The back support is stitched with hard cotton cloth all over to give hard support for durable hanging.
