OUR STORY

I am Geetika Jain and belong to small town in Uttar Pradesh (India). I have done my master's in interior designing from Jaipur. Since from my childhood days, I was always interested in arts and craft but coming to Etsy was a sudden inspiration. One of My Grandfather’s closest friend Mr. Mhd. Ali owns a small handwork embroidery shop of ethnic wear at my home town, specifically heavy sari’s and lehengas, which were really beautiful and popular amongst the royal families and Nawabs of my Place. Now this business is being run by their younger generation. Few years aback in 2019-20, I got a chance to meet him at this Shop but sadly now this handwork art is taken aback by digital and machine embroidered techniques which has completely stolen their customer base.

I asked him if we can still use this vintage art hand embroidery but in a completely new mode of home decoration. He completely agreed and here we started the idea of Opening our shop IndiKraftsHub, and introduces our unique style of “Fusion art work”, the amalgamation of Vintage artwork with Modern outlook. Since I had stayed in Jaipur for quite a long time, I was fascinated with different modes of Hand block textile fabrics and here came the idea to recreate these tapestry wall hangings into a different prospective of more premium yet eclectic style to decorate your walls. Our “Fusion art” includes different artistic handwork of different domains like Zari, Zardosi, Aari, Beaded embroidery, Sequin work, Wool-thread, patchwork and Nakshi Kantha etc.
